Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) splitter is een type optisch energiebeheersapparaat dat wordt vervaardigd met behulp van silicagische optische golfgeleider technologie om optische signalen van Central Office (CO) te verspreiden naar meerdere vooraanstaande locaties.
ABS-splitter wordt meestal gebruikt in de PON-netwerken.
